Here in Northern Virginia we have a wealth of beautiful wedding venues, including charming historic houses. Many are down long dirt roads, hidden among rolling hills, and it's easy to imagine life in these houses during the time they were built.
I discovered such a place called Rixey Manor. The house was built in 1801 and was smack dab in the middle of the civil war. It survived in tack and was kept in the same family for years. The current owners have renovated it and added space that is perfect for an intimate wedding celebration.
Working with Rebekah Emily Photography and Lily and Oak planners, we created a dream setting for an adorable couple. The florals we chose were in the color palette of peach with touches of purple and blue. Springtime flowers included garden roses, lilac, ranunculus, astilbe, and plenty of natural greenery. We are thrilled to have Style Me Pretty feature our work on their industry leading blog! Check out all the amazing details!
