Is there anything more romantic than a field of lavender in bloom? We have have a lovely lavender farm right here in Northern Virginia that was the scene of this editorial shoot. Along with Maddy Williams Photography and Lauren Harbin Weddings, we took to the fields to showcase a lavender inspired wedding. The beautiful setting, thoughtful details and, of course, the gorgeous flowers all came together to create a bit of early summer magic.
The bridal bouquet was a show stopper. I designed it in a unique elongated shape and it was chock full of luscious blooms including campanula, scabiosa, roses, freesia, larkspur, veronica, stock, and lollipop mums.
The bridesmaids carried petite bouquets in shades of purple to complement their lavender gowns.
The table setting was rustic with a natural garland of greenery and bud vases of lavender. Amethyst goblets full of berries, copper lanterns, and marble place markers were details that would make any guest feel special.
And for those with a sweet tooth, this dessert table was the stuff of dreams.
